Thanksgiving...

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with our families.  The Sunday before Thanksgiving we celebrated with Greg's family and Thursday we celebrated with mine.  It was a great day and we all have so much to be thankful for!
Crewsie with Grammy Fisher, Grammy Cooper, Aunt Casey, Yaya and Popa!
Crewsie and Popsie!
Uncle Blakey and Aunt Case
Corina, Uncle Brian, Grammy, Daddy and Crewser

He is such a GOOFBALL!

School Thanksgiving...

I am so late on my posts, but better late then never!  These are from Thursday, Nov. 17th.  He had a preschool Thanksgiving party with lots of activities and yummy treats!  In the above pic Crewsie is making a piece of pumpkin "pie"...we had a slight meltdown when we got home because he wanted to eat it...yikes!
My little indian!

Snack time...minus 2 kiddos that day.
All of the little indians!

And his favorite...parachute time!

Marshmallow toss...

I will try to set-up this YouTube video...First, Crew is OBSESSED, MESMERIZED, INSANE over The Polar Express movie and book!!!  And this is an understatement!!!  He watched the movie once and was hooked...he now tortures me everyday and will BEG and BEG and BEG me to watch it.  This is from a kid who watches very little t.v....but is crazy about watching this movie!  So, not only he is ridiculously obsessed with the movie, but the book as well.  Aunt Casey and Uncle Blake bought him the book a few weeks ago and we read it everyday too!  If I'm being honest I have to say that it is starting to drive me a little CRAZY!  Sometimes it's an all out war if I have to tell him that we can't watch it :(

Now that you know about his obsession with The Polar Express I will get to the marshmallows.  In the movie (and book) the kids are served hot chocolate and last week at the store Crew said he wanted to get "Hot Chocolate like the kids get on the Polaw Spress!"  So we got hot chocolate mix and marshallows, came home mixed it up and sat to watch the movie...then we started getting goofy.  He started cracking up when I started throwing the marshmallows in my mouth...he got distracted when he saw I was videoing him, but he still gave some belly laughs!

Camera phone pics...

I try to take pics of Crewsie throughout the day and send them to Greg.  He likes being updated on what Crew is doing during the day, so here are some from lately!

Above:  Crewsie was a little tired...Below: Eating lunch
I just took this one the other night...I can't go to bed without checking on him, and he looked so precious so I snapped a pic.

A pic from his preschool class last week.
Bad bed head one morning!
Look at the chubby little face (and no, I'm not talking about mine!).
Acting goofy.
I was cleaning out our office and came across some old ones of me.  They are from 1983 when I was two years old and I was on a trip with my Dad and Mom (who was 5 months pregnant!) in Acapulco, Mexico.

Uncle Blake sent me this pic of Zoey!  Aunt Casey begged to put up their Christmas tree and obviously she got her way!
Hoarder of stuffed animals...he has about 70...yes, I counted one day...he's nuts!
Below:  Crewsie getting ready to go to his Thanksgiving Party at school this past Thursday.  He was a little "off" at school and then we went to Popa's and we could tell he wasn't himself so we came home.  When we got home he felt warm and sure enough he had a fever :(  Poor little man...He only took an hour nap that day (which is soooo not like him) and when he got up his fever was 103...he was so lethargic and went to bed at 6:30 p.m., but thankfully slept through the night and woke up at 6:30 a.m. the next morning.
This pic was when we got home the day he didnt' feel good and he wanted to get in "comfy" clothes because he didn't feel good...he was still smiling at this point!
This pic from Friday morning...still had a 103 temp., but look how happy he was...and look how rosy his poor little cheeks were :(
After his nap friday and he still had a temp., but not as cranky.
Again, Friday afternoon and we were playing "Cooties" and this made him very happy!  Today, Saturday, he still has had a temperature, but acting pretty normal...hoping and praying for a fever-free little boy tomorrow :)

Preschool Pictures!

Crewsie recently had his picture taken at school and they turned out pretty darn cute!  You never know what is going to happen when you attempt to put EIGHT 2 year olds together and then try to get them to all stand still and then ask them to smile...but overall the kids did good and the photographer got a good shot!

Click on the link:  http://www.downtownphotoshop.com/

Then follow theses instructions:

1. Click on the Client Proofs button on the far right side of the home page (toward the bottom)

2. Click on the file called FCC Preschool

3. Click on your child's class image, then click the file with your child's initials (Crew is in Tiny Tots class and initials "CE")

4. When asked for a password, put in your child's 6 digit birth date...for Crew type in:  032709

You will be able to see his class picture and then his individual pictures!

Preschool Parachute...

One of Crewsie's most FAVORITE activies in preschool is the parachute!  At the very end of every class his teacher gets out the parachute and they each grab a handle and jump like crazy.  She throws little cutouts of whatever they are learning about (i.e. leaves, pumpkins) in the middle and they fly around and then the kids pick them up, put them back in the parachute and the craziness starts all over again!

Hodge, podge post...

I have a lot of random pics and I thought I would put them in one post instead of breaking it up into a lot of little posts.  I love seeing other peoples "before and after" photos and I like seeing my own too!  We recently renovated our last bathroom (thank goodness!).  It's just our half bath, but it is such an improvement...we can't believe we didn't do it sooner...especially since we have lived with this bathroom since we moved in 6.5 years ago...a little embarrassing!  haha!  I also have 2 blogs that I have been following recently that I love...check them out on the left sidebar of my blog under blogs I follow...Texas Cottage (she gives great ideas for crafts and recipes) and "Before meets After."
Greggy tore down the wallpaper and chair rail, counter top and back splash and removed light, old faucet and mirror.
We had put in a new toilet when we moved in so at least that was done!  Then he installed new mirror, faucet, electrical outlets, light above mirror, painted ceiling and walls and trim and tiled the countertop!
I'm so lucky to have such a handy man as a husband!
Mommy had been working on her own little project...refinishing my old furniture for Crewsie!  He was in desperate need of some more drawer space in his bedroom.  So we took out his baby dresser and put my old one in his room.
Above:  Is the color the dresser used to be and the old hardware.  Its solid oak furntiure and I knew if I took the time it could look great again.  Below:  I stripped the old stain and sanded the dresser down.
Staining time!
The finished product with some new hardware!  Now I think I want to get a piece of glass cut for the top.
Now he has plenty of drawer space and all his clothes are organized and in one area...so much better!
And now for my favorite...we have started to finish our basement!  We have talked about doing this for a few years and I am so happy we are finally doing it!  It is by no means complete yet, but I wanted to share the "before."  We are finishing about 2/3 of the basement which will give us another 600 square feet of living area.  Our plans (as of now) are to put a lot of Crew's toys down there and make it his main toy room, we want to add a couch and some chairs, a t.v. and a bar (which Daddy is going to build!).  I can't wait until it's done!
Greg framed a closet in for the electrical box, shut-off valves, and a drain that we could need access to.
First he painted a special paint on the walls in case we would get any moisture, then put up plastic and then the framing.  Next will be the insulation and drywall.

This pic was taken before we cleaned out the basement.  We got rid of a ton of stuff...felt sooooo good to purge junk we didn't need and get everything organized!

And just a few cute ones of Crewsie playing this weekend...

And one more little project...an elf mailbox!  I know I'm totally crazy, but my family is crazy for elves!  Every year from the time we were little kids, elves would come and visit us for Christmas (my grandparents started this tradition with my Mom when she was little!).  The deal is that the Elves ride in on the first snow flakes or Dec. 1st  (which ever comes first!).  This year I've added the Elf mailbox...which will be painted and every once in a while our Elves will leave Crewsie a letter!
I was cleaning the office this weekend (again, purging junk felt so good!) and came across this book I bought from an old (and supposedly) haunted library...so naturally, I choose "The Strange Woman" to buy from the haunted library!  duh!  Anyway, Greg couldn't help himself and told me how fitting it was that I bought it, so he snapped this photo...he thinks he's so funny.
