Lunch on the lake...

Last Sunday the three of us headed to the lake for a little lunch!  It was a bit overcast, but too nice to not go out and at least enjoy the day.  We took a nice little boat ride and then headed to the Upper Deck for lunch!

We took a pic of the water temp so we would remember what it was this time of year...the water feels pretty cool even at 76 degrees.

Before his little haircut...I will have to post an "after" shot...he got a little trim before "school" starts!  I can't believe how blonde his hair got this summer!

Open House for his preschool (actually Mommy and Me preschool!) is tomorrow and his first class is next week!  Crew is looking forward to meeting his teacher :)

Last wednesday my friend Deb and her kiddos, Larken and Lach, went on an evening cruise with us!  We grabbed a couple pizzas and headed for the lake!  Yaya was our Captain that night!  Unfortunately, this ding-dong Mommy forgot her camera and not only did I forget my camera, my phone was dead too!  Luckily Deb had her iphone, so she got some decent pics!  Crew loves spending time with these two :)

The water is still hovering around 76 degrees...I was the only one brave/dumb (haha!) enough to actually get in the water...the kids were smart and stayed on the tube!

A relaxing Sunday...

Last Sunday we went hiking at the Hinckley Reservior.  We really enjoy going for walk/hikes this time of year and especially in the fall.  It was a little bit of an overcast day, but it was perfect for walking around.  Last year we packed a picnic and hiked around Whipps ledges (also part of the Hinckley park system).  We have a lot of really nice park systems around the area and plan on taking advantage more this year now that Crewsie is a little older!  And he LOVES it!!!

Some of these pics are in sepia, black and white, etc.....I just couldn't decide which I liked better!?!?!  He loves collecting rocks and throwing them into the water!

This pic should be called "Determination!"  He was on a mission to find rocks!

Then he wanted to see the boats...aka: canoes, kayaks.

The sun started coming out and it ended up being a pretty nice day.

A great day just relaxing and enjoying nature!
