Trick-or-Treat!

Last night we had our 6th annual Halloween party!  Usually trick-or-treat is on Halloween, but for some reason they changed it this year?!  Even though it is technically Crew's second Halloween, it is the first time he went trick-or-treating!  It was the perfect Halloween night...a little windy and about 50 degrees...he had to be bundled up a little, but he was a trooper!  We went to about 20 or so houses!  Our families came over to celebrate with us and one of my friends with her kids, Larken and Lachlan!  We all had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year!  Now we are gearing up for Aunt Cookie and Uncle Joe's FIRST annual Halloween and costume party this Saturday...we can't wait!

Hiking at Hinckley...

Last Sunday we went hiking at Whipps Ledges in Hinckley...another gorgeous day and we wanted to take advantage of it!  I packed a little picnic lunch and then off we went hiking around.  Crewsie was a little on the tired side, but I think he still had fun!

Romp n' Stomp!

Last Friday we went to Romp n' Stomp with our MOMS group.  It was our first time there and Crew had sooooo much FUN!  He didn't stop running around, sliding, or climbing from the time we got their until we left!  Crew's favorite was definitely the HUGE slide...he must have gone up and down it at least a dozen times...he also loved the obstacle course!  We can't wait to go back!

At the end, all of the blow up stuff goes to "sleep" and then the kids learn a letter of the day (this day it was "G"), read stories, sing and dance around, and then do a little art project!

Swinging Time and Scare on the Square!

Mommy and Crewsie walked over to the park the other day to enjoy the beautiful fall weather!  Crew loves climbing all over the swing sets and zooming down the slides.  Usually, he loves to sit on my lap and swing, but this day he wanted to do it all by himself!  I plopped him on the swing, told him to hold on tight and gently rocked him back and forth on the swing and he loved it!  I got a little emotional as my little man sat their swinging and thought about how quickly time passes.   My best friend Deb recently lost her 18 year old nephew and I was thinking about her brother and sister-in-law and wondering how a mother would go on after losing a child.  It made me soak in this little moment with Crewsie...I NEVER want to forget these special times because they are truly what life is all about.

Here I come Mom!

My Momma recently emailed me an article about how lucky we are in this area to be able to witness the changing of the leaves and how very few areas in the world get to see this...so I took a couple photos on our way to the park of the beautiful gold, orange, and red trees!

Last Thursday was Scare on the Square downtown Wadsworth!  We got Crewsie all dressed up in his pirate costume...and he even left his little bandana on!  It was like a little scene out of a Halloween movie with all the little kids dressed up running around trick-or-treating...it was the perfect night!  Our official trick-or-treat night is this Thursday!

As soon as we got home Crew sat on the floor and dumped out all of his candy...just like a little kid...it was so cute!  He gets his fair share of cookies and other little sweets, but we NEVER give him candy...he was in hog heaven!

This morning we were at Romp n' Stomp and as you can see Crewsie had TOOONNNSSS of FUUUNNN!!! (more pics to come!)  The first video at the top is the funniest!  The below pic was the first or second time he went down.

More Pumpkin Patch Pickin'...

Over the weekend we hit up another pumpkin patch...this time at Ramseyer Farms!  Crewsie had fun this time actually be able to pick his pumpkin!  We roamed around the patch for awhile before he decided on which pumpkin he wanted...he picked up (and then threw down a couple...oops!) at least 20 pumpkins!
