Crew at the Zoo...

Since we bought a Cleveland Zoo pass this year we also get into the Akron Zoo for free (actually we get into almost any zoo in the country for free or at the very least half price...it's a great deal!).  The Akron Zoo is only about 10 or 15 minutes from the house and it's smaller and therefore, much easier to get around!  It's a great zoo for kids around Crew's age!  Yaya accompanied Crewsie and I a couple weeks ago and we had a great time!  They have some different animals then the Cleveland Zoo, like the penguins, which Crew loved!

Yaya trying to hide while I get a picture of "Penguin Crew!"  hahaha...I know you love this one Mom!
This llama was so cute...we got to pet his little furry head!
Siberian tiger!
Largest rodent in the world...so gross, but a little cute!
Momma and her little monkey!
Jelly Fish exhibit was pretty neat!
Komodo dragon!
We can't wait to soon go back and visit the new carousel!  The day we were there they were getting ready to open the carousel the next day...missed it by one day :(  Each ride is an endangered animal...it was so pretty!
Yaya and Crewser

They have done such a great time with this Zoo...even though it is smaller it seems cleaner and newer than the Cleveland Zoo and it is so much closer to home!  Had a great time...can't wait to go back!
Just thought this pic was funny...he can now sometimes open regular door knobs!  He has been opening closet doors and lever doors for a long time and now these...yikes, no privacy...haha!

Stud Muffin...

You know how some people have little signs on their cars that say "Baby on Board" well, I have one that says "Stud Muffin on Board"...honestly, I do!  I bought it last summer at Babies R Us and it fits him so well...haha!   I wish he would wear these sunglasses all of the time, but he only will wear them for about a minute...oh well, at least I got a couple cute shots!  We try to go on a walk every night and Crew really seems to enjoy it!  Greg and I will be doing some yard work and Crew will climb into his stroller all by himself trying to tell us that he is ready for his walk!
Crew doing yard work!  He loves pushing brooms/rakes and anything he can get his little hands on!
He usually does not fall asleep in the stroller, but this night was an exception!
Passed out!

Wedding Crasher...

A couple of weeks ago we went to Joe and Kelly Chick's wedding!  They were married at the end of June on the beach in South Carolina and had a reception at the end of July in Cincinnati!  My Mom and Dad, Blake, Casey, Tay and Joe and of course the Eddy crew all traveled down and had a great time!  These are a few of the pictures from that night...and Crew LOVED dancing on the big dance floor...we literally could not keep him off of it!  He loved the loud music and lights and couldn't stop moving and shaking!  A few people even came up to me and told me how adorable he was and how they were getting a kick out of watching him dance!

Mommy and Uncle Blake chasing Crew...notice the lady in the pink on the right filming Crew!  Haha...what a ham!
In this picture he is stealing a complete strangers purse...actually it was on the ground and he picked it up and the lady said "oh, that's okay he can play with it!"  I said "No, that's okay he really doesn't need to be dranging around your purse!"  She INSISTED that he be allowed to play with it...she said he was too cute to say "No" to (she even tied it in the knot so it wasn't so long for him to drag around!).
Wanting to feed himself cake...

Our adorable little man...

Isn't he just PRECIOUS!?!?!  My adorable little man is growing...growing...growing!  We have enjoyed every "stage" Crew has gone through, but this age is SO much fun!  Even though he doesn't talk he understands a lot of what we say, he has so much personality, and he is always in a good mood!  Crew is the most fantastic little boy we could have ever dreamed about!

Crew LOVES playing outside, but I'm afraid of what is to come this Fall and Winter!  My mom keeps joking that we better get him (and me!) boots, rain gear, and snow suits because he is still going to want to play outside when it's cold and wet!  Other new things he is starting to say (and much more clearly now) "no, no, no" and "Hot!"  Also, my Mom taught him to do the "touchdown" signal by throwing his arms in the air...so funny!

I know, I'm so mean, but this was too funny! He was upset about not being able to go outside!
Gosh I LOVE that little face!

Deceptive? Not quite!

Crew's eating habits are pretty darn good (especially for a 16 month old!)...he will eat ANY kind of fruit, but not so great with the veggies! He will eat potatoes, loves tomatoes, and on a good day will eat green beans or sometimes cucumbers, but this is pretty much it for veggies.

Soooo last week I saw the book "Deceptively Delicious" by Jerry Seinfeld's wife at Kohl's and bought it (the premise of the book is to add pureed veggies to "normal" kid food). I was excited to try some recipes so the other night I made the brownies...well, my men in the house were NOT fooled! Greg knew immediately they were not "normal" brownies and Crew only took about four bites and he was done, but I didn't think they were that bad! So the first recipe gets a "C-" in my book....I will let you know when I try some other dishes!

Above, Crew is eating scrambled eggs, wheat toast, and hashbrowns...with a little bit of ketchup...he loves this meal!

A lot of changes in a year...

Look at my baby just a year ago (these were taken beginning of Aug. 09')!  I feel like he has changed soooo much, yet he is still just my little baby!  These are a couple pics from my phone...unfortunately, I have used up all of the memory on my computer :(  I knew I'd eventually run out after downloading thousands and thousands and thousands (literally!) and tons of videos on our computer!  Now I have all of these great pictures that I want to share, but can't!  Oh well, I will soon get caught up on the blog. I have to get one of my brothers computer wiz friends to help with our situation!

Crewsie has been off bottles for a week (last Tuesday he drank his last one)! Yay for my big boy! He only got a bottle before a nap/night time and only 1 or 2 ounces in each bottle and we never put him to bed asleep, he was always awake when I laid him down...so it really wasn't hard to do away with them.  I have to admit that it was mainly me that was holding on to the bottle.  I feel like it was the last "baby" thing he was doing...I would look down at him while he was drinking his bottle and he still looked like a baby to me and I didn't want to give that up!  But I know for his sake that it was time...I guess now the only "baby" thing left is diapers and I won't miss those!!!!!

Here are a couple new things Crewsie is doing:  he is starting to do "choo-choo" like a train...he does the hand movement and noise and everything...very funny...my mom and Auntie Tay witnessed this today!  Also, starting to say "hi" and "hello"...said "hello" today when he answered a phone!  Still says Momma all of the time (which I LOVE), Dada, and still "woof woof" like a doggie!

Sliding solo...

This little video below is from the 16th when Crew started going down the slide all by himself!
