And Quaker Square! Well, we headed to the zoo one day last week, but showed up a half an hour before the zoo opened...duh, Momma! Anyway, so I was trying to think of somewhere close we could go and hang out for a bit...and I came up with Quaker Sqaure. I had not been there in YEARS and I always loved going there as a little kid. A lot has changed since then, but it is still a cute little area to check out. They used to have a really cool restaurant with a big train museum...they still have a little museum, but on a much smaller scale. Crew loved it regardless and it was great place to kill some time.
The University of Akron owns it now and there are even dorms in one of the areas. There are several little restaurnants/delis, a gift shop, a little museum, and a bakery!
To say this boy loves trains would be an understatement!

Then we finally hit the zoo! Showing Puffer the other penguins at the zoo.
Yikes!
Lions and tigers, but no bears! haha! But actually the zoo is getting a new grizzly bear (and wolf) exhibit that will open next year...very exciting!
We never leave the zoo with less than about 3 carousel rides...
It was a great day with my little buddy!
