Rides in the Radio Flyer...

The last several days we have been getting great weather! Each day seems to get warmer and warmer with more sun! These pics were from a couple days ago when it was still a little cool out. Mr. Serious was not liking the hat...but he did end up leaving it on!

Crew still loves playing with his cars and walking behind them...he is also starting to play more like a toddler!  I can see him thinking differently and it is fun to watch his little mind working on trying to figure things out!  He is getting good at putting shaped blocks into their correct holes and loves hammering and playing with his "work bench!"  Some of his new favorite snacks are the Pepperidge Farm Baby Goldfish (he loves the cheddar ones!) and the Mini Nilla cookies...he gobbles them up!

These pics were taken yesterday...we had a BEAUTIFUL DAY (about 55 degrees and partly sunny)! Today, it is suppose to be a high of 64 and we already are having lots of sunshine! Mommy took Crewsie for another ride in his wagon and he just sits there and relaxes!

We are looking forward to this Saturday because Bidinger's is going to be open for the season! This is a "famous" ice cream place in town and the first day they are open it is B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Own Banana!) and you get a banana split! Two things Crew LOVES...bananas and ice cream!

Up the stairs, down the stairs...

Another one of Crew's tricks!  He has been climbing the stairs for months and now he has learned to come back down the stairs!  (Don't worry, Greg and I are always supervising him!)

Mommy is insane, but it makes Crew laugh...

Okay, I know I'm crazy...my entire family will attest to that...but if it makes Crew laugh and I get to hear his little giggle I will do ANYTHING!  We had just gotten home from dinner and we were getting ready to give Crewsie his nightly bath...he loves playing with his punching bag and the doggies wanted in on the action and this is what happened!

Crew crusin'...

I took this of Crewser about a week and a half ago.  He has been doing this for a while now, so we think walking must be the next step!?

Day Dreaming...

We have been getting some warmer weather and sunshine! Crew loves looking out the front door...I think he is day dreaming about running around outside and having Mommy take him for rides in his wagon!  I CANNOT wait until we can be going on walks, playing at the park, taking him to the zoo again (with Auntie Tay!), swimming at the pool, eating lunch on our deck, helping Mommy with her flowers, going up to the lake for a sail, and just enjoying the warm Spring and Summer air!  Can you tell that I can't wait for summer!?!?  Haha!

I also cannot wait until Crew's first birthday, which is now less than three weeks away!  Daddy and I went and got all of the decorations the other day and now I need to send out our invitations!  We are doing a "Curious George" theme for our own little monkey!  It will be a great day spent with our families!

I'm so lucky I get to be a stay-at-home Mommy and get to spend every moment with Crew...I would not trade it for ANYTHING in the world! I'm obsessed with this little man...I have literally taken thousands of pictures of him (and he's not even a year old!). Everything he does I think "Oh, that's funny - where's my camera!" I know one day Greg, Crew, and I will look back and LOVE all of the pictures and videos we have taken!

Below are some pics from this morning after his nap...he was so docile! Then some shots from lunch...as you can see he has gotten into a bad habit of standing up at his highchair...also, he is already feeding the dogs his food...but Tiki and Mazi don't seem to mind!

Greg and I predicted back in the middle of January that we thought Crew would be walking sometime in February...Well, we were half right!  Technically he did take his first steps, but I wouldn't say he is walking!  He does GREAT standing by himself now...he seems very comfortable with it...he can lower himself down easily and has even started to stand up!  He is getting better and better at taking four, five and six steps at a time, but sometimes he just crashes!  He has gotten good at letting go of one end of the couch and taking a few steps towards the other end of the couch without touching it!  I hate to make any more predictions...but maybe by his first birthday!?!?!

Crewser is also great at giving out kisses...at first only Momma got them, but now anyone that asks gets one too!  I have also tried to start incorporating his sippy cup into our daily routine...he as gotten pretty good at it!  The last pics are of Crewsie doing some light reading (he had most of these books pulled out and on the floor by the time he was done!)...he gets into every drawer, cupboard, closet, or pantry that he can find!

Moo! Cow's Milk for Crew...

Oh my, this is going to be a challenge! Crew has been a fantastic baby from the very beginning...Greg and I have been very lucky and we are thankful and recognize how wonderful Crew has been! I started noticing this past month that I am slowing nursing less and less and that means a poorer milk supply! I have had my freezer well stocked for months (like 50 bags of frozen milk that I pump!) but slowly since the beginning of the year Crew has been getting bigger bottles of milk inbetween nursings to satisfy him because as you know, he is pretty big for his age...therefore, my stock of milk is dwindling...FAST!!!

I started to get anxious about this earlier in the week and called the pediatrician to ask if I could start to incorporate cow's milk into his bottles and I was given the green light! So, the last several days we have attempted this and ohhhhhh is it difficult! I put 1/8 - 1/4 of an oz. of cow's milk mixed in a 6 oz bottle and you would have thought I put lemon juice in it...Crew litterally threw the bottle out of his mouth! We are adding it to his morning oatmeal and he doesn't seem to mind and I've gotten sneaky getting him to eat it from a bottle! It has taken several days and today was the first morning he actually took a bottle with 1/2 oz. of cow's milk with no fuss...thank goodness! We will slowly be adding more and more and he will eventually be transitioned to regular milk!

The pics above are from Crew waking up from his nap and still wanting to cuddle with his blankie!  He turned 11 months old over the weekend :)
