Bye, bye boat...

Before we even used our boat...we sold it!  We bought this little boat back in March and today we sold it!  We bought the boat for a very good price because quite frankly it needed some work.  But, since Daddy has LOTS of experience refinishing boats he knew he could make it look like new again (like our wooden folkboat we sold last year).  Popa and Yaya ended up buying my grandparents boat around the same time and we have been using that boat a lot, so we weren't sure how much we were really going to end up using this sailboat....so just for the heck of it Greg listed it on Craigslist and sure enough he started getting lots of emails about it.  We actually ended up selling it to a guy that lives less then five minutes away!  Below are some before and after pictures...
The boat is a 17 foot O'Day

Greggy sanded the boat down, did some epoxy work and little fix ups and then painted it.  He also painted the boom, mast and trailer.  The end result was fabulous!  He painted it brown because the sails were brown and yellow.

These pics were from this morning right before the guy came and picked the boat up!  It looked so good and I was a little sad to see it go, but I can't get too sentimental because we never even sailed it!
I think Greg should become a professional "boat flipper!"
The guy who bought it was sooooooooo excited!  He wanted it because he has a cabin on Atwood Lake and wanted something he could sail with his son.

Crewsie playing in the boat one last time.
