A little family getaway to Put-in-Bay!

Greg and I have great memories of spending time at Put-in-bay!  We went to Put-in-Bay a lot when we had our boat in the water and would always try to visit at least once a summer even when our boat wasn't in the water...we always had so much fun and it is such a unique little island on Lake Erie.  Even though we took our car over on the ferry this trip we would normally just rent a golf cart because that is all you really need to get around!

There are wineries, beautiful historic homes, neat little gift shops, great restaurants, tons of bars and of course, The Boardwalk!  We ate lunch at The Boardwalk...the lobster bisque is famous and it was DELICIOUS...Crewsie even tried some (we NEVER pass up the bisque) then we ate dinner at Mossbacks, stopped in at the Island Candy store and topped off the night with martinis at the Blue Harbour Grille...then of course breakfast at Frosty's!  Last year Crew was a little too young to go but this year we decided to start the tradition with him!  We had a great trip just the three of us...we rented a little condo type place and it was perfect!  We had great, cool Fall weather...we all had a fabulous and relaxing weekend :)
There is a park right down town with lots of playground eqpuipment for kids!
Notice my reaction because my child is a dare devil and would have gone down the slide head first!
Everything in our little place was nautical...it was only a block from downtown, but tucked in the woods...no wonder they called it the "Hideaway!"
Mossback's...one of our favorites!

Martini time!
Mommy's Martini...yummmmmm!!!
Crew started playing with this little girl and after talking with her mom we found out they were the owners of the restaurant and bar.  They followed each other around like little puppies...they were so cute!
Unfortunately, there was work being done to the monument so we were not able to go to the top...plus, the pictures don't look so good with all of the scaffolding!
Awesome bar right downtown
Wish we were sailing...we really miss being up around the water and hopefully next year we will have some type of boat and get back to what we love doing!
Lots of beautiful historic homes scattered around...lots of history for such a little island!

Also, congratulations to my friend on the birth of her baby boy!
