While Mommy is away Crew and Daddy play...

OH man and did they play!  Mommy went out the other night and met a friend for dinner and this is what I came home to!  hahaha!  I walked in the door and couldn't believe me eyes.  I said to Greg "What the heck happened in here?!?!"  He said "Crewsie and I were having a lot of fun!"  Wow, it looked like it!  I think every toy in the house was out and had been played with.  And to top it off Crew was TOPLESS...yikes!

I went upstairs to change thinking the mess was contained to the downstairs, but I was WRONG!
His bedroom...
And in the midst of all the fun they even had time to bathe Mazi and give her a haircut...craziness!
The playroom...
Now in all fairness to Greg I have to be honest and say that he cleaned up the entire mess and I didn't have to lift a finger :)

Kevin!!!!!

As I mentioned in a previous post, Crew was obsessed with Polar Express...well, we have now found that he is just obsessed with Christmas movies altogether.  "Ralphie" as he calls it (A Christmas Story) and "Kevin" (or Home Alone) are his two new favorites.  This kid hardly ever watched t.v., but ever since we introduced him to these movies he is driving us NUTS on a daily basis to watch them...over and over and over again!  So here are a few of his "Kevin" impressions!  Oh, and he recently asked if he could sled down the stairs..no joke...I think I'm in trouble.  I imagine coming home one day to a booby-trapped house like in Home Alone.

Breakfast with Santa...

Saturday morning we met Santa for breakfast!  Popa, Yaya, Momma, and Crewsie all went to Applebee's and got to see Santa and eat yummy eggs, sausage and pancakes!  Crew had lots of fun and he was not afraid of Santa...YAY...because last year he was a little more timid and wouldn't sit on his lap.  He got lots of goodies and really enjoyed himself...it was a great morning :)

Telling Santa that he wanted a train for Christmas!
He got his own Santa hat!

Helping Momma and Daddy decorate...(we decorated the week of Thanksgiving!)

Excuse the picture frames...they are new and I haven't put our family pics in them yet!

I sent this pic to Greggy one morning...I said "Smile for Daddy!" and this is what he did...
Below Daddy took Crewsie to see a movie friday night...Crewsie has now seen 3 movies and has done great at the theatre.  He saw Winne the Pooh back at the end of summer with Yaya, Popa and Aunt Tatie...Happy Feet 2 with Momma and Grandma a couple weeks ago...and now Arthur's Christmas with Daddy :)
Showing me his muscles...

I love that little elf!
He loves trying to get under the tree!

A Christmas Story...

Last Saturday we drove up to Cleveland (actually Tremont) to visit the "A Christmas Story" house!  It was soooo much fun to see where Ralphie lives...although, Crew didn't understand why Ralphie and Randy weren't there!!! haha!  He kept saying "Ralphie wasn't home Momma!"  We learned some fun facts about the house....like, did you know that the house was sold on EBay?!  Or that the delivery guy that delivers the leg lamp was a  local and still lives on this very street!?!  Or that the city they name in the movie (Hohman, IN) doesn't really exist?!?  Some pretty fun/interesting facts...there were a ton more that we didn't know!  Since this film has become so iconic and since we live close, we couldn't pass up making the trip at least once...although, we almost didn't make it because we got lost (several times...damn gps) and the neighborhood was a little sketchy...but when we saw a ton of other people we felt a little more comfortable.  If you like the movie and you live in the area I recommend checking it out...at least once :)
It was pretty busy the day we went up and I'm sure it gets really crazy in December and once the snow starts flying!  We actually parked in the Bumpus' yard....hahaha!
The LEG LAMP!

Love the infamous leg lamp!
The actor that played the Dad was in his low sixties when the movie filmed and the mom was in her forties.  And Jack Nicholson was initally offered the role as the Dad.
Love the blue bowling ball present!  haha!
Where Ralphie comes down as the "pink nightmare!"

The house had been completely renovated with new siding, windows, everything and they had to reverse the age of the home again.  It sold on Ebay for $150,000 and the guy who owns it put over $250,000 into this house, the museum and the gift shop...there are three total houses you visit.  $10 per person and kids under a certain age (?) are free.  Over 70,000 people have visited the home from all 50 states and they said many international visitors!

Some of the original costumes.

We met one of the elves...you can kind of see her behind this glass case sitting down...she's wearing a blue Gap sweatshirt.
Doll house being auctioned off.

We met this lady (the elf on the right)...she said she was a local actor...I asked if she was ever in any other films and she told me she was a stage actress...so I guess that meant no!?
And just because I love Chrismas Vacation with Chevy Chase and love these two lines out of the movie...
And my husbands favorite....haha!
And just in case you were wondering...yes, you can buy leg lamps in FOUR different sizes!  Perfect for every room in the house!  haha!

Now every time we watch the movie we can say we were in that house!
