Quality time with Auntie Tay...

Aunt Tatie was back from vacationing in Punta Cana (Mommy missed her!) and had one day left before she had to go back to work.  So we picked up some sandwiches and headed to Hubbard Valley Park to play on the swing set and sit down by the little lake.  It was a pretty nice day...sunny, but a little cool!  Crewsie had a great time and so did Mommy...thanks for spending time with us Tay, we LOVE you so much :)

Loves the swings!

Herman Munster...

Crew got his first little pair of sandals the other day and he is actually getting around quite well in them!  He is so good at walking barefoot I was a little afraid that he would stumble around with shoes...but he proved me wrong!  Since we have been outside a lot lately I thought it was time for sandals before he stubbed one of his little piggies!

In the video below I tried to capture Crew walking so some of our relatives out of state could see for themselves! We jokingly call him Herman Munster or Frankenstein because of the way he walks...still a little unstable and his hands out in front of him...hahaha!

On a sadder note...our little kitty Marvin passed away yesterday unexpectedly, he was about 10 1/2 years old (9-9-99 to 4-8-10).  Poor little guy was a great little cat and we will miss him and so will Tiki and Mazi.  Mazi was his best little buddy and her little tail wagged everytime she saw him...it was so funny to watch.  I will miss seeing him all curled up on our bed sleeping...rest in peace little buddy.

Easter 2.0...

Crew continuing to open more East baskets...haha!  The first few pics below are from Easter morning at our house and then with Grandma and Grandpa Eddy and then Auntie Casey made a basket for Crewsie...in total, he opened four Easter baskets (we have enough "Peeps" to get us through the next 5 years)!

LOVES his new shovel and broom we got him...although, they are as tall as him!
I think his favorite toys were the $1 plastic eggs!
Easter baseket from Grandma and Grandpa Eddy!
Loves his old fashioned slinky from Auntie Casey!
Bunny ears!
Just thought these were too cute not to post...Mazi was like Mommy's little baby before Crew :)
Sooooo cute!

Time to weigh-in....

Crew had his big ONE YEAR check-up this morning!  He weighed-in at a whopping 26 lbs. 10 ozs. (90-95th %) and 31 inches long (90th %) and head circumference 49cm (97th %)...we knew he had a big head, but that just means he has a big brain...ha!  He has not dropped out of somewhere in the 90th percentile since his first check-up...I guess he is just one big kid!

Mommy and Daddy were so proud to tell Dr. Reynolds of all of Crew's accomplishments in the last few months...talking, walking, eating well!  Dr. Reynolds gave us the "green light" on several items...trying to give him a little peanut butter (Momma and Dada LOVE peanut butter) but we have to give him a little at a time and watch for any allergic signs...we also got the go-ahead for turning his car seat around.  I know a lot of people try to wait as long as possible, but Crew is soooo long that his poor feet and legs are all "bunched-up" against the seat and Dr. Reynolds said that can be even more dangerous.  Crew had a great check-up and all is very well!

Some of the pics below are from over the weekend...we had GORGEOUS weather again!  Saturday we went to the Hinckley Resevoir and drove around Whipps Ledges!  We walked around and then stopped at the little sandy area to let Crew play.  Last year he was only 11 weeks old when we went to Hilton Head, but even then he loved the beach and pool!  As you can see he LOVED playing in the sand...only a couple more months until we head back down to Hilton Head....we are sooooo excited!  Crew is also getting his bottom first year molars!  He has been pretty good considering these BIG teeth coming in...he is just a little clingy to Mommy when they are really hurting him :)  Some of his new favorite foods are my homemade egg salad and penne pasta!
I weigh how much!?  Are you sure that's right!?

Oh, I love this monkey!
Loved feeling this big old tree!
Tried to eat some of the sand...yuck!
He wants to play patty cake all of the time!

Crazy, Busy, Fun week...

Wow, we have had a very fun week.  Between Crew's birthday last Saturday, Daddy's Birthday Wednesday and all this beautiful weather we have been having we have stayed very busy!  Crewsie loves playing with all of his awesome new toys that he got for his bday!  Wednesday we went to Cheeseburger in Paradise to celebrate Daddy's 30th birthday and yesterday we went up to the lake and visited the marina!  We have been having beautiful, sunny, 80 degree weather and wanted to take advantage of it!

Loves his "bouncy" toy from Uncle Blake and Auntie Casey
Such a monkey!
Mommy took one pic at Cheeseburger in Paradise!
On his new potty!  Okay, I know everyone has their own opinion on potty training kids...Our philosophy is the earlier the better!  Don't get me wrong, we don't expect him to be toilet trained in the next month (especially because he can't verbalize "potty" yet)!  We just want him to get use to sitting on it and understand to not be afraid to use it!  After all, we expect little puppies to be house broken when they are a few months old...and I know he is smarter than that!
As you can see, he liked it!
I'm trying to go Momma...

I've almost got it!
Faster Momma....
It got too warm out so we had to switch to short sleeves!
We are trying to get him use to wearing a hat to protect his precious face and eyes!
I love the swings...
and the slides!

After playing at the park, back to the coupe...

I'm a silly boy!
Another walk in the stroller...passed out!
