2 Part Post: Mother's Day and Bon Voyage!

Mother's Day Part 2!  We celebrated Mother's Day with my side of the family last Friday!  We had a great time with everyone...a very enjoyable and relaxed evening!

It's hard to get eveyone looking at the camera and eyes open...so here are a couple shots...haha!

The best sister that anyone could ever ask for!

I love my Auntie Tay!

This is the second part of the post...we sold our boat!  After eleven years (we bought it summer of 99') of great memories we decided to sell the boat!  We sold it to an attorney in Chicago and he will be keeping it in front of his lake home on Lake Michigan!  Life is just getting busier and busier and right now we don't have the time we would like to enjoy the boat...but I know again one day we will buy another one!  It is a wooden boat, so it is a lot of up-keep for Daddy!  For now we can use Uncle Brian's sailboat on Lake Erie or my grandparents boat on Berlin Lake!
Saying one last goodbye to the boat!
Below are some older pics of the boat when we had it on Lake Erie!
Getting ready to head to the marina!
Our boat next to Greg's parents boat in their building.
Such a pretty boat!
Headed to the lake for the season!

Even Tiki made trips to the boat!  Obviously, these are when she was just a little puppy!
Soooo many wonderful memories and experiences!  We would sail every weekend and it was our little getaway!  There are endless funny/scary/exciting moments when we would sail.  Like the time we were at the Wooden Boat Regatta in Huron and tried to leave to go back to our marina in Sandusky.  The weather and wind was so bad once we got out on the lake Greg and I were panicing and trying to throw on our life vests and I thought we were done!  I got roses the next week at work...that should say enough!  And of course the time we got stuck out on the lake with no wind and it was 95 degrees with bugs and we were both miserable and Greg got in the dinghy and was driving around the boat in circles...I was probably screaming or crying at this point!  Or the time we had our friends up on the boat (and Kim was pregnant!) and we ran the boat aground!  Oh the memories!  I could go on and on...we look back on all these stories and laugh!  We can't wait to one day create more memories (maybe the less scary ones) with our children!
Greg always used to think it was so funny to take unflattering shots of me...hahahaha!  I know you'll love this honey!

In this corner weighing in at 27 lbs...

Is Crew of course!  Yaya and Popa got him this little robe, it's actually a swim suit cover-up...LOVE it!  I have looked everywhere for a swim cover-up for boys and have had no luck!  Below are a couple pics from Mommy's Day!  Grammy Barb had us over for lunch on Sunday to celebrate with Daddy's family!  It was a very nice and relaxing day spent with my little guy!  Since my Mommy was out of town we are going to celebrate this Friday night!

Grammy with her three sons and of course Crewsie!

Loves climbing in and out of his toy bucket!

Fun week with Crewser...

Crew and I have had a very fun-filled week.  We really didn't do anything special...just hung around the house and played outside A LOT because of the beautiful weather!  We went on lots of wagon, cozy coupe, and stroller rides around the neighborhood!  Some of Crew's favorite toys are his baseballs, tennis balls, and bouncy balls.  He loves throwing them, kicking them and trying to bounce them all around the yard.  This week he also started saying "ball" (although it sounds more like "bah")!  He also has been saying for a while now "What's that" or "What's this" (although these sound more like "Whatsat" and Whatsis")!

Some of Crewsie's new foods are scrambled eggs, peaches, pineapple and he even took a few bites of my kiwi this morning.  Sometimes he won't try anything new and then other times he gobbles it up!  I think his favorite is still peanut butter toast in the morning with yougurt (we use the natural peanut butter so it's a little healthier for him!).
Trying to help Mommy with the yard work!
Wagon ride number 118 for the week...just kidding, but close!
Love his little Crocs!
He is getting much better at walking up and down steps...at first he would just walk right off and fall!
Yesterday Greg and I joked on the way to his eye doctor appointment that he would say "What's that" to the doctor...and sure enough he said it to the nurse! She was getting ready to put eye drops in his eyes to dialate them and he said "Whatat?" She looked at us and said "Did he just ask "what's that"!?!?" It was so funny and of course Greg and I started laughing and said yes, he says it all the time and points to things! We were are the eye doctor for precautionary measures and as it turns out everything is great with Crew's eyes and the doc said they are very healthy! When we were at his one year check-up we told the pediatrician that his eyes looked a little misaligned and she agreed so we made an appt. with a specialist. He has pseudostrabismus (which means the false appearance of misaligned eyes). It is very common in young kids...mainly because the bridge of their noses aren't fully developed yet and it tends to make the eyes look crossed, or like one is going in more than the other. Crew's eyes are aligned perfectly straight it just sometimes appears to look different!
Poor little guys eyes were still dialated, but he wanted to be outside...I think the sun and reflections were bothering him!
This morning...sometimes this is the only way I can get laundry done...ha!
Ok, I'm done Momma!
Another one of his new favorite toys!

Crew and his little visitor...

Friday night Crewsie had a little visitor, Natalia!  Natalia is Auntie Casey's niece (her sisters little girl)!  She will be two mid June and she could not have been any more nice to Crew...although, she was a little scared of him!  It was so funny to see Crew walking up to her and talking baby talk...it was his own language and she had NO CLUE what he was saying (because she speaks English..haha!)...it was hysterical!  Every where Natalia went Crew would follow, but then she would get scared away...you had to be there...Greg, Casey and myself were all laughing!  He kept reaching out to hug her and even tried to kiss her a couple times!  (Our house looks a little disheveled because we are rearranging our rooms...it makes no sense now with kids to have a "formal" living room, so we are making it a second family room!  We are waiting on new carpet and couches...so hopefully within the next week things will be back to normal...I'm a little OCD and it is driving me crazy!)
Crew talking his baby talk!
Can you see Natalia's hesitation?!?! haha!
What a goofball!
This was after Natalia left and getting ready for a bath...I was trying to get a shot of his messy little face!

Just Crewsie...

Crew and Mommy have had a very fun and relaxing week!  We have been able to play outside a lot because of the great weather!  Today is a little more overcast so we may do a little shopping with Auntie Tay!?!?  Hope everyone has a great weekend :)
I made Belgian waffles earlier this week and Crewser loved them!  He is getting really good at feeding himself with a spoon or fork...although, maybe a little better with the fork because he can really "jab" his food!
I love waffles!
After a full belly Crew is ready to take his morning nap!
