Another fun week here at the Eddy household! Tuesday we went to a pool to cool off and after Crewsie's afternoon nap I set up a new sprinkler toy for him. He was hesitant to actaully run through the water, but he loved dropping the balls down through the tube and watching them pop out! Yaya and Aunt Tay were officially done with school on Wednesday, so that evening Yaya, Tay, Greg, Crew and I went out on the boat to celebrate. We enjoyed dinner at one of the restaurants on the water and a nice boat ride around the lake. Thursday we had a cooler day (only 70) so we figured it was a perfect day for the zoo. They have a new elephant exhibit that has been in the works for a few years, so I was excited to check it out...and one of Crew's favorite animals are the elephants!
Friday me, Mom, and Tay decided to join Loyal Oak Lake Park! I was trying to decide if I wanted to join a lake or a pool and the lake just seemed like more fun. We used to be memebers at Loyal Oak when we were kids and absolutely LOVED it and have so many fond memories from swimming out there. It's great because they keep the lake really clean and they have a great sandy beach and a concession stand. They also have a little water feature and two slides for the little kids and docks and diving boards too! Crew loved the playground and they even have a little putt-putt course. It was so nice to just be able to sit on the beach and let Crewsie enjoy himself and not worry about him falling into a pool or hurting himself around cement...it makes it really relaxing for all of us!
Not happy that Momma was taking his picture...
Putting the balls down through the tube...
The balls would stay mid-air like this several minutes...he loved it!
Daddy up on the roof...and he is completely phobic of heights!
Zoo time!
Crew kept saying he wanted to ride the elephants..."Momma, ride elephants!" Yet, when we walked through the butterfly exhibit he was deathly afraid!
The little meerkats were adorable!
Me trying to show Crew the lion and tiger!
He also loved the giraffes and the sea lions!
The polar bear was behind the waterfalls...
Crew was so worried that Yaya was eating his snacks that he wouldn't look at me! hahaha!
