Bonita Springs, FL - 2012 - Part 1

Ahhhhh....I wish we were still there.  There is nothing like a warm breeze off of the ocean.  It instantly makes me relax.  Anyway, at least I can look at the pics to remind me of the fun we had!  I took a gazillion pictures, but tried to narrow it down.  This is the first half and I will post the other half soon.  We love this area in Florida.  It was pretty warm (low to mid eighties) and it's on the gulf, which we love.  To me, its about as close as you can get to the Caribbean (besides Key West) and still be in the U.S.  When Crew was a baby we ran out and got his passport thinking "Oh, yeah, we are totally still going on our Caribbean vacations even with the babe!"  Well, that has yet to happen because every time we are about to pull the trigger we get scared that he might get sick or think maybe its not too smart to take him to a third world country like the Dominican!  So, we've ended up in Florida the past few years and love it :)
We had one day of cooler (mid 60's) weather and wind, but still had fun.  We visited a state park that was on the water and it was beautiful.

He loves playing in the sand with all his toys and building sand castles.  He must have asked Daddy to get him a bucket of water at least a thousand times!

This night we went down to the beach before dinner.

He loves playing with these little figurines of the Sesame Street characters, etc.  He wants to take them EVERYWHERE!  He calls them his farmers!?!?  He so goofy.

Today it was 65 and sunny and GORGEOUS!  While we were at the playground it was only around 55 or 60, but later in the day it warmed up a bit more and Crewsie even got back outside after his nap this evening!  He loves going to playgrounds so we decided to go to one by Aunt Casey and Uncle Blake's house.  They live so close Aunt Casey even walked over with Zoe!

I'm still working on getting vacation pics uploaded, so here are just a few from the handy camera phone (aka: lazy way of posting pics). 

Above:  on our way to Florida...the sleeping only lasted about half an hour...little man doesn't sleep well in the car just like his Momma.

Below:  One night we stopped and stayed in a hotel after 12+ hours driving...little man always in a good mood :) 

Our favorite place in Bonita Springs...Coconut Jacks...YUM! Sits right on the water and we love it! I think he was thinking "Wow, Momma, that is one big drink!"

SOOOOO behind....

On my blog posts!  We have been under the weather here...it started with Crewsie and today Momma woke up with a sore throat...yuck!  Anyway, I thought I'd share a few camera phone pics since they are easy to post.  The above photo was from last Thursday before little man and Momma headed to "peeschool."

Last Friday we did a little shopping for his upcoming 3rd birthday!!!  We went to the party store and I let him pick out what theme he wanted.  He kept looking at the Toy Story stuff and a pirate theme, but in the end he choose the pirates!  So a pirate party it is :)  I also saw a "fair" theme (complete with popcorn and hotdog decorations...so cute), maybe next year I can talk him into that?!

Momma also recently signed Crewsie up for soccer!  It's a 3 year old league and it starts the first week of June for 5 or 6 weeks.  A lot of Crewsie's friends signed up too, so we are very excited!

Uncle Blakey and Aunt Casey took Crew and Natalia to dinner and Build-A-Bear last weekend!  He picked a penguin and named him "Puffer!"

We started the week off great being able to play outside in the sunshine!

Then Tuesday morning Crewsie bear woke up with a temperature :(

So, we've done a lot of this...which drives me crazy...can you say cabin fever!?

Wednesday we had another gorgeous day (65 and sunny..crazy!) so he was feeling a little better and wanted to go outside.  I couldn't tell him no, so we went on a little wagon ride around the neighborhood.

Thursday and Friday he still had a fever but doing better...now its developed into a little cough, but he seems to be on the mend.  Now, it's my turn for the cold.  After this week, the below picture sums up how I feel!  haha!
