Last day of Peeeeschool!!!

Crewsie's last day of preschool (technically Mommy-and-Me preschool!) was May 10th.  It was a great little celebration and Crew really enjoyed himselft!  Above, is Crewsie with his teacher :)
Grammy came to celebrate!

They had a great little set-up and the kids even got to build their own sundaes!  Which, of course, was Crew's favorite part.

It was a great year, with a great teacher and great kiddos!

Cruisin'...

Last week we drove up to the boat on Friday and stayed our first night on the boat! Crewsie did great sleeping on his bunk and slept through the night like a little trooper! We were able to sail Friday and got up and sailed again Saturday morning. Friday the wind was a little light but Saturday morning was just perfect. All we needed was the head sail and off we went! We got the famous Cameo's sauerkraut pizza and it was yummy! We had a great weekend :)

Mommy's Day!

Happy Mother's day to my Momma/Yaya, my sister (the newest member to the mommy club!), Barb/Grammy, and my two precious grandmothers! And all of the other Moms who have been a positive influence in my life. Each one of you has taught me something different when it comes to mommy-hood. And Crew has taught me so much about life and what is really important. I love him more than he will ever know and I feel so privileged to be called his Mommy! Today I honor Crewsie because without him (and technically Greggy...haha!) I wouldn't be a Mom :)

Crew's week...

In the last week Crew has mowed the grass, played on his new swing set (a lot!), taken butterfly snacks to school (idea from Pinterest!), visited and had lunch on the boat, and giggled with his Momma :) Does it get any better?!

Sailing soon...

Two weeks ago we headed for Sandusky to launch the boat!  It was a cool Spring day, but perfect for getting the boat in the water and to the dock.  Daddy headed up a little early (because Crew's 3 yr. check up was the same morning) and then me and Crewsie picked up Grammy and drove up.  Greggy and I motored the boat to the marina, which only took about 10 minutes.  Since this was our "maiden voyage" we thought it was safest for Grammy and Crew to stay on solid ground and wait for us at the marina!  There were only a few other boats at the marina and we were the first sailboat.  The marina where we dock is great...Cedar Point is right across the bay, Kelly's Island and Put-in-Bay are close, there are lots of wineries around, and we have a great pool right at the marina too!  Everything went well and now we can't wait to start sailing!

So, I started reminiscing while looking back at old photos.  Thought I would post a few to show our first boat!  We bought it in 1999 and sold it in 2010.  I can't believe we had it that long...it was A LOT of work to say the least.  Our new boat is fiberglass and much easier to maintain!  But nothing beats the look of a wooden boat...soooo pretty!
Daddy worked his butt off getting this boat to look like this.  It was sitting in an old boat yard about to be burned because it was in such bad shape (I wish I could have found a before pic!).

These below pics are from 2004 right after we got Tiki!  Had to post because she was so darn cute!  We took her to the boat every weekend!

Love that little fluff ball!
