Crew had his fourth swim lesson yesterday...Auntie Tay was with Crewser for the lesson!  This week we learned about safety and life jackets.  As you can see, as soon as Auntie strapped the jacket on Crew he just laid there and totally relaxed!  He is sooooo comfortable in the water and it shows!  Crew was so relaxed even the instructor was laughing!  Thanks so much for going with us Tay!

Crew is "cruising!" At least that is what all of the baby books call it! Last night was the first time Mommy and Daddy watched Crew walk along the couch! He can crawl anywhere and stand up (i.e. my legs, walls, cupboards, furniture, gates, etc.) but last night he actually was able to take a few steps along the couch! Supposedly this is one of the last things they do before being able to actually walk! I still think he is a little ways from walking though!

Crewser's shirt says "I'm the cutest one in my family!" Well, Mommy and Daddy certainly can't argue with that! These pics were from this morning...as you can see Momma was having fun playing with his hair...and he's got sooooo much of it! We gave him a little "trim" around his ears last weekend. I think we will soon have to trim his bangs because they are just about in his eyes!  Crew loves playing in the sink and turning the water off and on and splashing around...Daddy taught him this trick!  He is also starting to give "kisses!"  Although, this means he leans his head to your cheek until you give him a kiss then he looks back at you and smiles!

Our Crew bear is 10 months old today!  I recently added some music to our blog...so if you didn't know turn up your speakers...hahaha!  I added one of my favorite songs Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (or as he is better known, Iz).  It is a fantastic rendition of both of these songs.  We can't believe our little boy is already 10 months old and in two short months will be celebrating his first birthday...it truly is a wonderful world!  Some pics below of the little man today...the ones where it looks as if he is "crying" is a total fake...Yes-he already knows how to fake cry and whine and it is very comical!

Crew helped Mommy bake some little butter cookies earlier in the week.  Since he is not allowed to have anything with peanuts, chocolate, honey, etc. I figured these cookies were the safest ones he could eat!  Yesterday, Crew had his third swim lesson (we are now at the half-way point)!  He learned to "scoop" or try to move his arms in a paddling motion.  He does very well with the other little kids in his class and is quite the little observer!  He actually put his face in the water a few times and tried to blow bubbles this week.  Crew is pretty fearless when it comes to the water...we will sit him on the side of the pool and he loves falling into the water to us!  I think he is going to love the water just like his Mommy and Daddy!

A couple pictures from last Sunday!  As you can see Crew is pulling himself up onto EVERYTHING!  He crawls to anything and manages to be standing in a couple seconds...he is even starting to be able to stand alone for a few seconds every once in a while!  I predict he will be able to walk by sometime in Februray (we will see if I'm right)!  Yesterday Crewsie helped Momma make some little butter cookies and then he nibbled down one last night after dinner!

Swim Lessons...2.0!

Crew had his second swim class last Saturday!  Daddy was able to take some video and pictures of Crew amd Mommy during the swim session.  This week he learned to float on his back and attempted to blow bubbles...this is a skill we will have to work on mastering because it seems he drinks the water instead!  Mommy was cracking up when Crew was floating on his back because instead of kicking like the other little ones he was yawning over and over again like he was totally bored (or maybe just a little lazy?)!  At the end of every lesson we all get in a circle and sing "The Wheels on the Bus..." and do funny little moves with the kids in the water...I think this is Crews favorite part!

Some random shots of Crewser!  Playing in the office, reading books in his bedroom, and playing with Dada.
This is what I call the "Crewser Chase!"  First, we start off in the high chair eating his breakfast.  From there he crawls around the kitchen floor while Momma is cleaning up and gets into the pantry.  Next, he is in the dining room pulling himself up to the wine cabinet (I guess he's picking out what wine he wants for dinner! haha). Now into the living room and pulling himself onto the doggies cage!  He's now bored and wants to climb up the stairs!  We now get dressed for the day and he is back on the kitchen table for a little snack!  And finally, after a little snack, he is PASSED OUT!  Then we repeat this about 10 more times throughout the day!  No wonder we are  both tired by the end of the day!  What a stinker!
